Probate Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Full-time | In office | Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Bieber & Lubinski, PLLC is seeking a full-time Probate Paralegal / Legal Assistant for an in-office role supporting our probate-focused practice.
This is a substantive position for someone who can assist with probate matters with limited supervision, draft pleadings and correspondence for attorney review, communicate effectively with clients and third parties, and help keep files moving.
Our work is focused primarily on probate and estate administration, with additional guardianship, conservatorship, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant, and related matters. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term role in a small law firm environment and is comfortable working closely with attorneys and staff in person.
Responsibilities
- Assist with probate matters from opening through routine administration
- Draft pleadings, correspondence, and related documents for attorney review
- Communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other involved parties
- Support guardianship and conservatorship matters
- Assist with landlord/tenant matters and related procedural work
- Maintain organized digital files, calendars, email records, and case notes
- Follow firm systems and office procedures consistently
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of probate experience strongly preferred
- Ability to handle routine probate matters with limited supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong organization, professionalism, and follow-through
- Comfort with significant client contact
- Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, calendars, PDF tools, case-management software, and electronic filing systems
- Experience with probate accountings, landlord/tenant matters, or bankruptcy is helpful, but not required
- We are open to either an experienced paralegal or a strong legal assistant who can grow into the role.
Compensation and benefits will depend on experience and ability. Benefits include health insurance with employer contribution, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, and bonus potential.
